Meeting Minutes October 2025
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM 13 members present 1 guest
Treasurer’s Report:
$8022.82
Maintenance Report:
No Report, but field looks great.
Safety Report:
It was brought up to remind pilots to announce runway incursions when you enter the runway area to launch or retrieve aircraft. Or in the case of the recent night fly – install runway markers or camera equipment.
Training Report:
The club has purchased a used Apprentice ingrate condition to use for training.
Old Business:
John Jenkins announced that one of the five founding members, Bob Gillespe, passed a couple of months ago. John is the the last of the original founders.
Russ Howell noted that we have plenty of Roundup left to spray weeds next spring.
John Jenkins reported that pledges for the pump and irrigation system stand at around $10,000 so far. Please contact John if you can make a pledge. It was noted that we need a system in place to save the trees. See last month’s meeting minute for John’s contact information.
New Business:
Olen bought a convertible.
Member Notes:
Leo Palaima and John Hower are co-pilots of the month for their assistance to each other and others during the night fly. They were each presented with a framed photo of the two of them launching a night flyer.
Show and Tell:
Morgan Parks presented a drone demonstration that was very fascinating. Next time you feel like something is following you – it might be a drone!
Raffle:
Our guest, Morgan Parks participated in the raffle and took home both the Ugly Stik and the the flight box. He also joined AMA after visiting at the night fly and is becoming a club member. Welcome to the dog fight, Morgan.
