Treasurer’s Report:
$7,880.88


Maintenance Report:
Scott has watered the trees and will mow the morning of July 4th.


Safety Report:
Everyone is reminded to use sunscreen and to drink water while at the field.


Training Report:
Natalia Murillo has completed building a Flite Test Tutor as part of her Senior project. Kim and Bill will arrange a time for her to refresh her flying skills on the Apprentice then maiden her new plane.


Airshow Display:
Kim Tillery is coordinating a display of war bird RC aircraft for a veteran’s luncheon on Friday August 14th as part of the Twin Falls Falls Airshow. He has secured 17 tables to display warbirds. If you have a plane to display and have not yet contacted Kim, do so soon so he can make a name tag for you and give you the event details. Kim Tillery 208-293-5578.


Web Page:
The goal have having the web page up by the June meeting has been met!! Club members will soon receive an email with login instructions. It is in a basic form, but additional features will be added as we move along. It looks beautiful. In the future, club events, meeting minutes, aircraft and gear for sale, and membership rosters with contact info will be available. The flying site weather station info is displayed at the very top of the page. Take a look at mvaeromodelers.com Thank you Andrew!


AMA Credentials:
Everyone is reminded that in addition to our local club dues and membership, to legally fly at our field, your AMA membership must be current. Kim Tillery is notifying members whose AMA dues have lapsed to get up to date. Remember to keep your FAA registration current as well.


Member Notes:
• Scott Thomas was awarded a Pilot of the Month Award for his readiness to assist other flyers and for his work keeping the flying field in fine shape.
• Kelly Fairbanks was recognized for setting up a pot luck for the club and supplying the main course. It was a beautiful evening with around 40 members and guests in attendance. Thank
you Kelly.
• The float fly came off well with about 5 pilots braving the breeze and skimming the waves. Another float fly is being planned for later in the summer.
• Remember the monthly fun fly on the last Saturday. This month it will be Saturday July 26th. Show and Tell: Bill Eberlein brought in a recently completed foam board version of a Q-Tee, the first RC aircraft
he flew with a friend way back in grad school. (Late 70’s) This one has a throttle and flies well with electric power.


Raffle:
A bag of of electric electric motors and a giant Telemaster were in the raffle. Scott Thomas was the successful bidder on the Carbon Cub and Olen Foreman won the bid for the Airshow ticket.


Tech Presentation:
Steve Lincoln demonstrated soldering tips and techniques for splicing wires and soldering connectors. Good information.


Next meeting is Wednesday August 6th.
